Collier wrong again, this time on Greaves.

The Common Mans attention has been drawn to a posting by Geoffrey 'Old Mother' Collier on the Democracy Forum, in which he demonstrates once again his formidable research skills.

Writing of Michael Greaves, he states "We now have appointed at public expense a Mr Greaves who claims to be a barrister and specialises in International Law. Further claims to his credit involve appearances before the International Court at the Hague. That Court has no evidence of him appearing in any capacity. Furthermore he does not appear on the Roll of Bar members who are currently practising."

The Common Man understands that this stunning piece of work is repeated elsewhere, particularly by the unfortunately not-yet-late convicted felon and self-confessed anti-semite Greg Watkins and the morons at Junius. Watkins, remember, always apologises when he is wrong, although none have ever seen an apology.

Michael Greaves was a court appointed defence barrister. Anyone capable of working a computer - which presumably Old Mother Collier is - could have discovered this through conducting a simple case search of the International Criminal Court searching case files rather than simply searching for web pages. There are actually some 40 documents which name Greaves as a defence attorney representing several defendants.

The Common Man now awaits the attack on Greaves based on who he, as a defence barrister at the ICC, was appointed to represent. The Common Man and Bob Pacific will be hugely amused at those who want a 'clean' UKIP attacking the right of a defendant, even at the International Criminal Court, to be represented, and somehow suggesting that because counsel is appointed to the defendants, this is somehow indicative of support for the crimes of which those defendants are accused.

The Common Man is also aware that, unlike solicitors, there is no requirement for Barristers to be registered with the Bar. Will Old Mother Collier now apologise for smearing an eminent lawyer? Past experience suggests that this is unlikely, and instead he will repeat his lies endlessly, thinking that that will somehow make them true.

Needless to say, Colliers other allegations are equally well researched and equally false. The Common Man wonders how he can have the gall to talk about 'we' when referring to UKIP, when clearly he is batting for the other team, but that's another rumour which it would be wrong of us to continue probing. The Common Man merely observes that for someone ostensibly if dishonestly campaigning for a clean up of UKIP, Collier has provided a remarkable way of telling what is true and what is false. If he wrote it, it's false.

News reaches the Common Man of a scurrilous posting on a blog site run by 'Skeptyk' which shows mental health trust (patient representative) member John West wearing a pair of underpants on his head.

This is scandalous. The Common Man will not stand for a serious political activist of the UK First Party to be mocked in such a fashion, particularly after his anti-corruption party dishonestly placed him third on their Euro elections list. How much did naughty Mr Edwards cost the BNP?

The Common Man has today learnt several things about that naughty onanist Mr Andrew Edwards, BNP activist.

Rumours have been in the air for several weeks that Mr Edwards featured in the judgement in the copyright trial between Mark Croucher and Nick Griffin which ended recently. Mr Croucher has asked me not to, in his words, make a 'big song and dance about it', but some aspects were too good to resist. As the judgement is a matter of public record, the Common Man felt obliged to obtain a copy, and for his regular readers makes available some sections of it here which it is hoped do not constitute a big song and dance but rather a public service announcement.

Extracts from the judgement in Mark Croucher (plaintiff) v Nicholas Griffin (defendant), Welshpool County Court, 9th December 2010 09DA01428

"The court is satisfied that Mr Griffin had no personal knowledge of the use of the image posted on the BNP website by Andrew Edwards, who had unrestricted access to post articles ....On discovering the situation, Mr Griffin contacted Mr Kemp, who shared his opinion of Edwards as a loose cannon.... the use of clearly copyrighted material was consistent with the cavalier approach shown by Edwards...."

The Common Man will leave it there for now, but expects to have more information on Mr Edwards to share with the world later today regarding his forthcoming loss of internet service. Some may be aware that Ms Sinclaire, who featured heavily in yesterday evenings posting, passed on her default judgement to BNP activist Mr Edwards for him to circulate it widely. The same Ms Sinclaire who now sits in the non-aligned group in the European Parliament with the BNP, Front National, Jobbik, Vlaams Belang etc, and yet who abhors extremism.

Ms Sinclaire, and how she dare not sit down

The Common Man never ceases to be amused by the activities of Camp Sinclaire, and todays news is no exception.

Ms Sinclaire is claiming 'victory' in her sexual discrimination case against UKIP after winning a default judgement in her favour. "I'm very saddened by how this has all turned out" said Ms Sinclaire ecstatically afterwards, failing to add, "Thankfully, UKIP failed to file a defence in time, thereby putting off the day I am exposed as a money grabbing liar."

Ms Sinclaire (7' tall) explained that her case was built on Godfrey Bloom (5'3" tall) intimidating her by calling her 'a queer' as he passed her in a corridor, and confirmed that she had never previously described herself as 'queer and proud' at the gay hustings meeting she was arrested at in 2004, or at any other time when it may have been politically expedient to do so. The Common Man can only speculate why she was not intimidated by hobbit sized convicted felon Greg Lance Watkins constant stream of internet homophobia, which strangely stopped just as regular contact between him and Ms Sinclaire began.

She also complained about UKIPs membership of the EFD Group in the European Parliament because it contained, among other groups, the Italian Lega Nord. She said "You would not expect a black MEP to sit next to a Ku Klux Klan member so why would you expect me to sit next to someone who wanted me dead?"

Given her high turnover of staff, the Common Man can only assume she doesn't have a chair in her office or sit down when in the chamber of the European Parliament among her new colleages in the non aligned group, who include BNP MEPs Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons. Perhaps it is the close links between Mr Brons and Ms Sinclaires political adviser, former NF and National Democrat member and candidate Gary Cartwright, which protect her there? Or is it the close links between pint sized reformed homophobe Mr Lance Watkins and BNP leader Mr Griffin? The Common Man loses track.

EFD Group has not commented on the case, as the judgement will be set aside at the next hearing in December. If they had, the Common Man assumes the person best placed to explain the rampant homophobia in EFD Group would be the groups flamboyantly homosexual secretary general, Emmanuel Bordez. If Mr Bordez was unavailable, one of the 6 other openly homosexual group staff would be happy to explain how they feared for their lives after being given senior jobs by people who wanted them dead because they are gay.

The Common Mans colleague Bob Pacific said sources in UKIP had confirmed that her claim was nonsense, and that it was bound to fail when the tribunal heard from people with considerably more experience of telling the truth than Ms Sinclaire.

Ms Sinclaire is currently the subject of an investigation into false expenses claims made since she became an MEP, and the Common Man understands her collar will shortly be felt by West Midlands Constabulary as the several OLAF investigations are now complete.

The Common Man has been made aware of the howls of protest which have emanated from Camp Sinclaire over an earlier posting which gave details of one of the OLAF complaints directed towards her.

The latest missive to arrive, from Mr Andrew Edwards, claims that Ms Sinclaire has been vindicated completely, and that the complaint is now closed.

In fact, the Common Man has learned that far from the matter being closed, it has actually been consolidated with two other existing complaints, both of which are currently with West Midlands police awaiting action. Expect to read news of Ms Sinclaires arrest in the near future for theft and false accounting.

Meanwhile, Mr Edwards is worthy of further investigation. When not masturbating like a gibbon in front of his computer, he is also a British National Party activist who was apparently summarily expelled from UKIP some years ago for his part in a plan to infiltrate UKIP ahead of the European elections in 2004.

Sinclaire's OLAF complaint

The Common Man has had rather more success in discovering the number of the OLAF investigation which Ms Sinclaire is facing than convicted thief Mr Lance Watkins, who has been proclaiming her innocence to the small number of people with the patience to read his drivel. Admittedly, it is only one of at least three current investigations, but we are sure that the other numbers will be forthcoming shortly.

The investigation number in question is OF/2010/0430. The email concerning this is attached below. This particular investigation is now close to completion, and this may account for the delay in Ms Sinclaire having her collar felt: at least one other investigation is already complete, and the file has been passed to West Midlands police. It can only be assumed that they are waiting for this one so as to arrest Ms Sinclaire for all of them at the same time. For sure, her days are numbered.

"One standard bargepole"

News reaches the Common Man of some disgraceful goings on in Brussels. 7’8” tall Amazon Nikki Sinclaire has been victimised by 5’3” Godfrey Bloom to the extent that she has felt it necessary to make a formal complaint to the European Parliament.

Mr Sinclaire said that she had been ‘intimidated’ by the actions of Mr Bloom, and that he had made her feel sexually awkward: an accusation apparently made without irony, the Common Man understands.

Mr Sinclaire, who was arrested after gatecrashing a gay hustings and has frequently gone on record proclaiming her lesbianism, claims she was made to feel stupid, although the Common Man would venture to suggest that that was unconnected to her sexuality.

Mr Bloom meanwhile protests his innocence and the Common Man is reliably informed that he has at all times kept his distance from Mr Sinclaire. A distance of at least one standard bargepole.

Of more interest is what Camp Sinclaire hopes to gain by such an absurd accusation. With Mr Sinclaire shortly to have her collar felt over a long running expenses scam, could it be that she is seeking to create a smokescreen which will allow her to downplay the seriousness of the charges she is likely to face?

The Common Man understands that her comments to the Sunday Times have made her position worse. The basis of her thieving is that she claimed the mileage allowance for MEPs who drive to Brussels and Strasbourg, and instead went by public transport, pocketing a rather nice tax free sum in the process. Speaking to the Times, Ms Sinclaire claims to have done it ‘once, in error’. In fact she did this on at least 6 occasions. As if that was not bad enough, on one of these occasions when she was supposed to have driven, she had an official car meet her at the airport. It was already clear that intelligence was low on the agenda after her videotaped admissions earlier this year about how the withdrawal of the whip would ‘make her very rich’.

The Common Man has learnt that the OLAF investigation is now close to complete, and a file is being prepared for West Midlands police, who will shortly be arresting her: the situation is such that discussions have been held between the police and the CPS over timings and charges. UKIP, meanwhile, are preparing her likely replacement: unlike Ashley Mote, Ms Sinclaire is under 70 and therefore is likely to face a custodial sentence not dissimilar to Tom Wise.

The Common Man has received a copy of a letter from John Ison, Solihull and Meridan branch chairman of UKIP which throws further light on Sinclaires activities. It was sent to all members of that branch.

UKIP Solihull and Meriden Branch
Since January, UKIP has faced a rather turbulent time in the West Midlands mainly due to the issues surrounding Nikki Sinclaire. You will recall that following Ms Sinclaire’s decision to leave the EFD Group in the European Parliament she was suspended as the UKIP candidate for Meriden. You will no doubt have had a communication from Ms Sinclaire regarding her point of view but I am unable to comment further as I understand Ms Sinclaire is now taking UKIP to court.
However what I can say is this. I worked for Nikki Sinclaire for just over 6 months and during this time I was disappointed to see how Ms Sinclaire purported to represent the electorate. Indeed, in March of this year, after Ms Sinclaire failed to reply to Lord Pearson’s olive branch letter, Ms Sinclaire formed a new party - Solihull and Meriden Residents Association – SAMRA. Ms Sinclaire wanted to me to stand for SAMRA and as a consequence I was instructed to deceive the party and the party members by confirming that I would stand for UKIP. However I was to switch my nomination papers at the last minute for papers in favour of SAMRA. Ms Sinclaire’s aim was to deny our members and the electorate the chance to vote UKIP in Solihull and Meriden but also to send a message to Lord Pearson that she should not be crossed. Sadly Ms Sinclaire also swayed potential UKIP candidates who were due to stand in the local elections to stand for SMARA instead. As a consequence UKIP has no local representation.
In late March Ms Sinclaire raised the bar in her attempts to persuade me to defect to SAMRA. Ms Sinclaire told me that if I stood for UKIP in Solihull then she could not employ me but if I stood for SAMRA in Solihull she could. Clearly this was not an option and I accepted Ms Sinclaire’s notice and left her employment. I was disgusted at this approach as the issues which Ms Sinclaire had with UKIP were between UKIP and herself and not UKIP and me. In addition, such was the apprehension from your elected members sitting on the Solihull and Meriden committee, they also approached me to voice their concerns at the way Ms Sinclaire was seconding UKIP members to join her new party.
Deception
In April your Branch Secretary was given an invoice by Ms Sinclaire for leaflets which had been printed with the request that it was paid from UKIP branch funds. Suspicious, your secretary contacted the printers and was informed that the leaflets had been printed for SAMRA and the Solihull Ratepayers Association. I can confirm and assure you that UKIP never paid this invoice. Furthermore Jonathon Arnott, the UKIP General Secretary, had cause to phone some of the committee members regarding critical and derogatory posts regarding others but also Pro-Nikki posts on the UKIP members’ internet forum.

Fake email addresses had been registered and membership numbers of members used to enable these posts to take place which have been identified as originating from Nikki Sinclaire’s office and also Josh O’Nyons’ private house. Mr O’Nyons has since admitted to identity theft. The Court of Appeal in R v Seward (2005) passed judgement that any ‘identity theft’ case which was proven required a prison sentence.
Consequently at a meeting held on Thursday 8th April 2010 at the Shirley Centre votes of no confidence were taken against the then Chairman, Josh O’Nyons and in Nikki Sinclaire. All the motions were passed 6 – 0 with no abstentions. A motion was then put to the Vice Chairman, Dave Faulkner, namely that I become the new Chairman replacing Mr O’Nyons.
Fresh Start
However despite the problems I am delighted to report that since this difficult time your committee has worked tirelessly for the benefit of you, our valued members. In the last two weeks we have arranged for Barry Allcock who is standing in Meriden, and for me standing in Solihull, to have an election address which will target nearly 90,000 homes across both constituencies. In addition both election deposits have been paid, this being £1,000. We have also ordered and taken delivery of 15,000 additional leaflets for distribution in Solihull along with 5,000 mini manifestos, 25 corex boards and ordered a PA system so we can take our message to the whole of Solihull and Meriden.
I have attended two hustings so far with the most recent one held at Light Hall School attracting public comments from a Conservative supporter that UKIP were the only party to have the best policy on the economy. In short this campaign is yet another huge step forward for UKIP demonstrating that we are about to make another breakthrough in British politics. As I alluded to earlier the local problems have not in actual fact damaged our branch but reinforced the resolute approach to do what is right for our country.

The Common Man has enjoyed the aura of comedy which surrounds Camp Sinclaire and, to quote Richard Littlejohn, you couldn't make most of it up.

SAMRA candidate Trevor Eames is a case in point. Busily standing as one of Sinclaires fellow candidates, can it be the same Trevor Eames who spent several years at Her Majestys pleasure for - and this is the best bit - setting fire to his wife? The Common Man is assured that they are one and the same.

Then we have the mysteriously disappearing Conservative billboards. During the current election campaign, Solihull Conservatives have noticed their billboards disappearing at an alarming rate. The same thing happened during the European election campaign. The culprit? Josh O'Nyons, Sinclaires office manager.

And finally, as Trevor MacDonald would say, we have the mysteriously disappearing Sinclaire. Early morning shoppers in Solihull would have seen her canvassing on the High Street, and yet by 11am, she has vanished? What could be the cause? Magic? Kidnapping? No, it was the local council, who moved her on because she had failed to get the proper authority to block the pavements while handing out her toilet paper.

The Common Man has received a copy of an interesting letter sent to Lord Pearson regarding Nikki Sinclaire. The member who wrote it has noticed some interesting similarities between an article Ms Sinclaire allegedly wrote for EU Reporter, and an article on Kikuyu independence which appeared originally in a Kenyan newspaper. Even without that, the points the author makes are illuminating and show Ms Sinclaires support is likely to crumble since she started hiring UKIP cast-offs and no-hopers to fill her office. Particularly interesting is the reappearance of Greg 'Rosie' Beaman as a paid employee on a rather handsome EU salary. The Common Man thought UKIP members might be interested in seeing the latest undercover journalist to have a go at getting into UKIP. We understand that Solvej (who called herself Karla) Krause applied to work as an intern, spending two weeks with UKIP in Brussels and Strasbourg. In return for the hospitality and friendship of UKIP staff and MEPs, she set up Stuart Agnew. Hardly surprising, as she was working with Sunday Times journalist Daniel Foggo. Foggo was the journalist who asked for an exclusive on UKIPs first big non-EU related story, and then in an act of staggering bad faith, handed it on a plate to the Tories. Sinclaire, Beaman and the mad house

News reaches the Common Man of developments relating to the official UKIP forum, where dirty dealing are afoot.

Apparently, Nikki Sinclaire, Josh O'Nyons and the entire Sinclaire office have been barred from posting, with young Mr O'Nyons facing disciplinary action over his creation of multiple user IDs using UKIP membership numbers of people who were considered unlikely to use the internet.

After a sudden upsurge in the number of pro-Sinclaire posts, moderators took a look at the IP addresses of those posting under new identities. To nobodies particular surprise, although these people were supposed to be all over the country, they all seemed to have gone to Ms Sinclaires office specifically to post on the forum.

As user IDs are tied to UKIP membership numbers, calls were made to these new converts to Ms Sinclaires cause. Of four people called, none of them knew they were registered on the forum, and only one even knew of its existence. One didn't even own a computer, and had never used the internet in his life. All of them were horrified to find themselves supporting Ms Sinclaire.

This is not the first time this has happened. Ms Sinclaires postings frequently appeared from her Birmingham offices IP address while she was in Strasbourg, while whole threads of pro-Sinclaire postings were made with different identities but from the same IP address.

The Common Man is not surprised to discover two things. That Ms Sinclaire, fresh from helping John Bercow in Buckingham last tuesday, has yet to demonstrate just how low she will sink to damage UKIP, and that she is gathering around her a witches brew of failed UKIP staff to help her campaign. A day of surprising sights on the campaign trail

The Common Man has been out on the campaign trail once again, and saw a very interesting meeting yesterday in Buckingham. While sipping a G&T in the White Hart, who should appear - miles from where they should have any business - but Nikki Sinclaire and Gary Cartwright, the liberal nazis. Surprising as that was, it was even more of a surprise to see incumbent and soon to be unemployed speaker of the Commons John Bercow enter with his campaign team shortly afterwards.

In a day of surprises, and just to top it all, they then all greeted each other cordially before the two elected members left together, with their entourages, out of the back door.

And so, revived, who should I see on my way back to the UKIP campaign office but Gary Cartwright and Mark Croucher shaking hands and chatting in the company of one of Bercows campaign team? The latter was next spotted deep in conversation with Annabelle Fuller in the campaign office.

Ms Sinclaire resigns from the EFD Group after taking 6 months to notice that she doesnt like some of the EFD members because they are 'racist and homophobic', and immediately employs Gary Cartwright, a former member of the National Front and National Democrats, to guide her hand.

Hypocrisy? Maybe so. And not without irony. But not as ironic as her recent statement to MEPs, where she insisted that, while attempting to be as open and honest as possible on her application to be an MEP, she consulted lawyers about whether to declare her bankruptcy and they assured her there was no need.

Is this the woman who wanted transparency? How many other potential MEPs were so worried that they might make a mistake on their forms that they consulted lawyers? Many might think that you dont consult lawyers because you are desperate to be open and honest with members, but because you are looking for a way to hide something. Like a bankruptcy which was only discharged a year before the selection process began. It strikes me that its a funny way of being open.

DP Commissioner rejects claims by Page & West

The Data Protection Commissioner has rejected claims of abuse of data by both Robin Page and John West.

The Commissioner said in Mr Pages case that there was 'no case to answer' and that 'UKIP had complied in every respect with the (Data Protection) Act'.

In Mr Wests case, the Commissioner said that while the posting of the video of Mr West making a fool of himself on You-Tube was regrettable, there would be no further action.

The decision was made several days ago. How strange that neither Mr Page nor Mr West, who both made much of having made the complaint, have publicised their obvious relief that their personal data was not misused by UKIP and that their complaints have been proven groundless.

Can we now look forward to Mr Lance Watkins publicising this clearing of UKIP on his blog.

The Common Man has been delayed in Strasbourg and so once again it is Bob Pacific here filling in until normal service is resumed.

Mr Lance Watkins has clearly taken the Common Mans comments to heart (21 March) as just days after it was noted that Mr Lance Watkins had blogs which smeared every party and anti-EU group apart from the BNP, he launched his BNP blog (26 March). So far it has a single post which consists of a link to Searchlight. Such damning criticism!

It must be difficult to be in his position, making lukewarm criticisms of the BNP while praising them as 'just another patriotic party' (his words), when in his heart of hearts its the BNP he supports. Theres plenty of evidence in this blog of his public anti-semitism and hatred of foreigners plus his homophobia, plus his self-acknowledged friendship with Nick Griffin.

What is the betting that within a few days of this, he'll be adding information to his BNP blog, but stopping well short of anything near the bile he pours on moderate eurosceptics? They say you know a man by his friends and a quick look at the people Mr Lance Watkins praises is enough. Mr Abbott, BNP donor. Ms Holdsworth-Voelcker, anti-semite. Mr Haslam, BNP party organiser. Mr Mottram, BNP emissary. No wonder he hates Del Young!

Regular readers will know of the Common Mans inability to read Mr Lance Watkins blog with a straight face, and this mornings offerings were the best yet.

Mr Lance Watkins, whose experience of the judicial system is normally to hear guilty verdicts against him on such diverse charges as receiving stolen goods and firearms offences, was commenting on John Wests attempts to 'hold UKIP to account'.

In Mr Lance Watkins words Mr West had " irrefutable documentary provenance displaying the guilt of EUkip and have numerous sworn affidavits and letters of support for the Judge/Courts makes the case all the more compelling....numerous witnesses both of fact and precedent makes their case even more compelling and that they have Party Officers, Celebrity and MEPs on their side leaves EUkip and the petty vindictive behaviour of the corrupt and insecure, childish and very foolish little Farage look like the clown he is "

So how did the district judge view this doomsday for UKIP? His words say it far more eloquently than the Common Man could.

District Judge Bazley White described Mr Wests case as 'an abuse of the small claims process and a waste of the courts time' and described UKIP as 'having no case to answer'. He also rubbished the idea of sending the matter for judicial review and dismissed the case out of hand.

The Common Man wonders if Mr Lance Watkins (who always apologises for any factual errors) will now apologise for suggesting that UKIP had done anything wrong, and agree with the District Judge who said in exonerating UKIP of any wrongdoing that Mr West was 'petty, vindictive and misguided..... making numerous allegations which have no legal basis and which abuse the process of the courts'.

The Common Man understands that Mr Lance Watkins own court date is fast approaching when he will answer yet more dishonesty charges in relation to theft of copyright. Is the Common Man alone in finding it strange that Mr Lance Watkins fails to mention the legal actions he is facing for dishonesty charges like this?

Thus the Common Man is hugely amused to see Junius and convicted receiver Mr Lance Watkins doing their best to wriggle their way out of having someone they have used as a principled man caught inviting activists to a meeting with Mr Griffin.

The Common Man is hugely amused to see their amateur attempts at spin now that they have been wrong footed. Do any readers really believe that this news would have appeared on either of their blogs had it not first been revealed here? Mr Lance Watkins already knew about the meeting long before it came to the Common Mans attention, as did Mr Edmonds, and emails between several in the anti UKIP brigade make this more than clear.

The Common Man will make this clear. Mr Haslam was involved in organising the West Sussex meeting along with BNP emissary Buster Mottram. He knew who would be present, but invited a number of senior UKIP activists knowing they would be addressed by the BNP leader. He deliberately concealed who would be present to ensure that they attended. Do not believe the lies that he innocently invited one person!

To conceal this, Mr Lance Watkins and Junius have returned to the subject of the Independent journalist who called Mr Haslam. The truth is different. Mr Haslam attempted to speak to a number of journalists and repeatedly bombarded the Independent with requests for a meeting. Mr Haslam was trying to peddle the story that during the UKIP conference in Bournemouth there would be a serious attempt to remove Mr Farage as UKIP leader. This meeting would have been lead by Mr Abbott and Mr Edmonds with whom Mr Haslam was acting in concert.

Fortunately the Independent had more sense than to believe this and the story rebounded on Mr Haslam as seen. The Common Man asks that readers ask themselves this. How unlucky would an innocent Mr Haslam have to be to be set up by the party leader, to have accidentally invited the BNP leaders personal emissary Mr Mottram to the NEC and then to have been innocently invited to a meeting at which the BNP leader was a guest speaker?

The Common Man was amused to see the lies put forward by the aptly named Junius (from Marcus Junius Brutus, the well known backstabber who was driven by ambition and not principle) on the Democracy Forum.

In his latest batch of postings, he accuses UKIP leader Nigel Farage MEP of failing to back Lord Pearsons invitation to controversial Dutch politician Geert Wilders.

The truth is that Lord Pearson was involved in a cross-bench move to highlight the freedom of speech issue involved, and did not want UKIP political involvement as that would dilute the message and make it party political. Both Mr Farage and UKIPs London MEP Gerard Batten accepted that this was so, and stayed in the background.

Subsequent developments in the story have proved this was the correct approach to take and perhaps it is this which has stirred Junius to dip his pen in poison and attempt to muddy the issue with his lies?

Wests to display integrity and resign over breach of rules?

It was interesting (although rather tedious) to read the latest overly long rant about the Suffolk Coastal branch from the Wests, this one signed by Mrs Alison West.

It was truly fascinating to read

"John was re-elected as Branch Secretary and also as Treasurer. I was elected as Chairman. "

Unfortunately, this is contrary to party standing orders and the rules for branches which specifically state that husband and wife members can not occupy the position of Treasurer and either Chairman or Secretary simultaneously. This is to prevent the type of breach of trust where a husband and wife conspire, for example, to misuse branch funds in sending untrue, unauthorised and libellous letters to local members in pursuit of a personal vendetta.

The current position of the Suffolk Coastal branch is that its committee is improperly constituted. As Mr and Mrs West are so keen on the letter of the law I await their resignations in the interests of natural justice and decency and the surrender of all branch documents to the last legally elected chairman, Mr Whitmore. As legal Chairman, I am sure he would be justified in excluding Mr and Mrs West from standing in the next election of officers, as they have demonstrated that they are ignorant of the rules necessary to conduct a branch in proper order.

Should they not resign, what value can be placed on their statements that they are campaigners for truth, openness and honesty if they feel they are able to disregard party standing orders when it suits them? Imagine people connected with upstanding people like convicted receiver and BNP activist Mr Lance Watkins being guilty of blatant hypocrisy!

The Common Man understands that Mr Towler would cheerfully drop his trousers to prove that like all artists his wife uses models. Just not in arms reach of Mr Lance Watkins.

Mathematically challenged Dr Edmonds massages UKRAL attendance

Steam enthusiasts barely noticed the untumultuous tea party sized meeting which had gathered to show support for international superstar Robin Page and exchange reasons on why UKIP would be successful if only they were in charge.

Addressing himself to the rows of adulating empty chairs, Mr Page explained at some length how UKIPs leadership had to recognise his fame or face the consequences. "Rules aren't made for people as important and famous as I am", boomed Mr Page before blaming the first two people to spring to mind and invoking the doctrine of Pagal Infallibility.

The burning controversy of the day has proved to be over the mathematical ability of former economist Dr Edmonds. Initially posting attendance on his blog as 45, within hours it had grown to 63, and all this hours after the conference had ended and everybody had gone home.

It can be reported with confidence that 37 was a fair figure, if the organisers and speakers were counted. As there were 13 speakers on the posted programme, non economists can work out the true attendance of 24 non-speakers less the organisers, or about 20. Some of those seemed to have a plentiful supply of BNP leaflets.

Questions have been asked as to the difference in these figures, and the answer is that while Dr Edmonds counted 45, Peter Cole, Tom Wise MEPs (that model of honest accounting) assistant counted 63.

We have a few simple tips for Mr Cole and Dr Edmonds. When counting attendees, the ones in shirts with the name of the venue on, the people on the food side of the counter and people pointing at exhibits and carrying cameras do not count. When people leave, you can not count them again when they come back in. Stewards and speakers are not part of the audience, they are the organisers.

Particularly interesting given the numerical challenges faced by Mr Cole and Dr Edmonds were the calls for the need for complete honesty and transparency in politics. Almost every speaker to the venue which was packed to the point of emptiness agreed that you could not trust people who manipulated the truth.

Regular readers will remember how anti-semitic Mr Lance Watkins invited a number of UKIP activists for a weekend at the Huntsman in 2002 without telling them that he had also invited Mr Griffin. The Common Man can only assume that after so much exposure to apartheid it is only natural for Mr Lance Watkins to find common ground with such people.

The Common Man feels the need to make it simple for Mr Edmonds who despite his claimed qualifications seems unable to understand plain English.

His list of signatories includes two people with clear and proven links to the BNP and its leader Mr Griffin in the persons of Mr Haslam and Mr Abbott. How many times do people have to accidentally meet Mr Griffin before Mr Edmonds realises he is being taken for a ride? Once would suffice for most people, but not he. Why Mr Abbott has met Mr Griffin so many times that he cant remember them all which must be why his story changes so often. The first time was at a meeting of white supremecists in the US.

His signatory list also includes several people who Mr Butcher has been telling people are about to join Libertas as candidates.

Mr Edmonds dishonest letter is not a group of UKIP members telling people to vote against a constitutional amendment. It is a group of 2 BNP associates and 5 Libertas party potential candidates stirring up trouble for UKIP before they jump ship. Could it be revenge because Libertas can not be called Libertas in the UK as UKIP owns its name? Is Libertas already happy to use BNP supporters and donors to try and damage its electoral opposition?

Mr Edmonds will this afternoon be sharing a platform with one BNP supporter, Mr Haslam. This should tell everyone everything they need to know about the UK Renewal Association Ltd as Mr Edmonds was well aware of the meeting Mr Haslam organised for Mr Griffin to speak to UKIP members in West Sussex. Mr Lance Watkins to lose his (black) shirt

The Common Man has been busy digging around to find more details of the court case against Mr Lance Watkins, convicted thief and proven liar that he is.

It turns out via an exchange on the Democracy Forum that Mr Lance Watkins is being sued by Mr Croucher for his use of copyrighted images on his libellous blog. The Common Man understands that the British National Party are also being sued for a similar copyright infringement.

The Common Man understands that both Mr Lance Watkins and Mr Griffin were given the opportunity to remove the images from their websites and pay a license fee up to the date Mr Croucher became aware they were there. They were also informed that if they did not do so, the charge for the use of the images would rise from the normal license charge for unauthorised use, 3 x the NUJ rate, to £ 75 per day per image per use, and that failure to remove the images would imply tacit consent to this charge.

It is understood that the BNPs outstanding amount is now up to around £4500 while Mr Lance Watkins amount is around £ 14000.

The Common Mans friends in the legal profession suggest that their failure to remove the images when copyright was claimed leaves them wide open to this increased charge. The offer was made, and the contined use of the photographs implied acceptance thus forming a contract. The Common Man also understands that Mr Croucher may have the backing of his union in bringing this action.

The Common Man notices with much amusement that John Petley is giving a speech at the snappily named UK Renewal Association Ltd meeting tomorrow titled Disaster in Brussels.

Is the Common Man alone in thinking the speech must be autobiographical? After all, Mr Petley is the man who boasted to friends in the Tory party by email about passing on deliberately misleading research to UKIP MEPs while employed by the Inddem group. When given a position of considerable trust and responsibility he chose to betray that trust in an attempt to cause political embarassment to those who gave him his position.

Disturbing news reaches the Common Man about further contacts between Mr Haslam and the BNP.

In December of last year, Mr Haslam invited a number of people to a meeting at a location in West Sussex.

After the recriminations following Mr Haslams ejection from the NEC, those present were more than a little surprised to discover that the first speaker was one Buster Mottram. This was nothing compared to the stunned silence when the second speaker was introduced, for it was none other than one Mr N Griffin, BNP leader.

The Common Man has long known that Mr Haslam was not what he claimed, but where does that leave Mr Haslam's supporters, and what did they know about this? Was Mr Edmonds aware of this meeting when he launched his defence of his cosignatories? The answer is a resounding yes.

Mr Lance-Watkins being sued?

The Common Man understands that Mr Lance Watkins will shortly have his day in court as news breaks that a former UKIP staffer is sueing him for copyright infringements.

Paperwork was apparently submitted on the 17th January to a County Court claiming damages and costs after Mr Lance Watkins used copyrighted images on his blog and then ignored warning letters by failing to remove them.

The Common Man is still trying to discover who the plaintiff is and what court will hear the case. What is clear is that the amount claimed is substantial and could well bankrupt Mr Lance Watkins, a discharged bankrupt and convicted thief, again. As most of the images in question were apparently scanned from Independence News, the Common Man can only assume that the plaintiff is either a past editor or contributor to UKIPs inhouse newsletter. Most likely candidates are John Harvey, Mark Croucher or Adrian Lithgow.

Butcher, Holdsworth-Voelcker and crocodile tears

The Common Man is hugely amused to see former UKIP Chairwoman Petrina Holdsworth-Voelcker praising the abilities of Democracy Forum owner Anthony Butcher. How things change over time, as the Common Man understands that as chairwoman she spent a considerable amount of time attempting to sideline Mr Butcher during his time on the NEC.

Apparently Ms Holdsworth and then UKIP leader Roger Knapman were in agreement that Mr Butcher should be given a job which was impossible to do. This would then give UKIP an opportunity to fire Mr Butcher very publicly for failing to fulfil an appointed task - not mentioning that the task was designed to be impossible. The Common Man understands that a number of senior staffers within UKIP argued against this approach, preferring instead to bring Mr Butcher 'onside'. The Common Man is aware that such an argument was bound to be defeated as Mr Butcher, a close friend of Lib Dem Bromley candidate Ben Abbotts, was parachuted into UKIP after the 2004 elections by a Liberal Democrat party desperate to undermine UKIP following their drubbing at UKIPs hands.

The Common Man is unsurprised to hear that he is now off to the pro-EU Libertas party. From a Lib Dem point of view, they are a much more serious threat to their core vote than UKIP as many Europhile Lib Dems agree that serious reform of the EU is needed. Unfortunately, Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg disagrees so an agent is needed in place to ensure that the threat from Libertas is minimalised. Meanwhile, the Democracy Forum remains in place to smear anyone who supports UKIP publicly. Clearly the Lib Dems are determined to get their moneys worth from Mr Butcher and are splitting their egg between several baskets.

Edmonds to defect to Libertas?

The Common Man is hearing rumours of a planned defection to Libertas by expelled former UKIP NEC member Eric 'the liar' Edmonds.

It is understood that a public announcement will be made only when Declan Ganley and his pro-EU consorts in Libertas have decided whether the questions about Mr Edmonds complicity in the Haslam/Mottram BNP plot can really be explained away by Mr Edmonds lies.

It is understood that his only hope now lies with the tape recordings of the NEC meeting that convicted thief, serial liar and BNP plant Mr Lance-Watkins claims to have. As most will be aware, if these really cleared Mr Edmonds of complicity, they would be all over the internet by now. Unfortunately, Mr Edmonds made so much noise in support of Mr Haslam and Mr Mottram that even heavy editing can't hide his clear support.

If Mr Ganley decides to accept Mr Edmonds, readers should listen to the gossip surrounding the new party to learn of Mr Edmonds ultimate fate. The Common Man is certain that he will be sidelined in very short order when familiarity breeds contempt for Mr Edmonds lies.

"I don't tell lies", lies Edmonds

The Common Man has emerged from his enforced hibernation into the Walter Mitty world of Eric Edmonds.

Desperate to hide his complicity in the attempt to get rid of UKIP leader Nigel Farage, he now resorts to telling outright lies. On his blog, he states

'The statement from the Common Man blog that "Mr Young voted in favour of the expulsion of both Mr Abbott and Mr Edmonds." is a lie.'

Except that it isn't, and Mr Young unquestionably voted in favour of the expulsion of both Mr Abbott and Mr Edmonds. No-one has ever questioned the results of the votes which were published on the internet by UKIP, and the 11-0 vote in favour of his expulsion is a clear indication that Mr Young thought that he should go.

Is that enough for Mr Edmonds? No. He then suggests that every single signatory to the letter he was a cosignatory to is completely clear of BNP links. As the Common Mans many regular readers know, a good chortle is always welcome, and Mr Edmonds rarely fails to disappoint. Mr Haslam was a prime mover in the proposal of an electoral pact between UKIP and the BNP, while Mr Abbott was a donor to the BNP and has changed his story so many times he probably cant remember what the truth is. He started by saying he'd given money to AFBNP organiser Mr Cotterill as a 'fellow ex-pat in need', and then (when he realised that the donation was a matter of public record and had been caught out in a lie) said that Mr Cotterill had mislead him over the donation. He then changed his story again and again and again and the Common Man understands that the current fairy tale is two donations to the AFBNP and a further two payments to Mr Cotterill, but that is subject to change in the event of future revelations. Quite how much he gave at the BNP Trafalgar Club fundraising dinner he attended is a matter of speculation.

So when Mr Edmonds says "If you have evidence to support your outrageous accusation that I, or any of the other signatories, have BNP links then you are honour bound to publish it." what he really means is apart from AFBNP donation records and his own personal complicity in a BNP attempt to remove UKIPs leadership.

The end result is that those things which Mr Edmonds claims to be lies are actually true. And as 'any fule no', defending a reputation requires a reputation worth defending in the first place.

The Common Man is pleased to see the outcome of the Judicial Review into donations made by Alan Bown to UKIP has been published.

As expected, the anti-UKIP brigade have rushed to spin it according to their own views, but the reality is that it is not so bad for UKIP as might have been expected. The basic outcome is this.

The Electoral Commission was hoping for a decision that all of the donations should be returned because that is what the law stated. The judicial review found that in fact although this may be an interpretation, the ECHR (an unlikely savior for UKIP) meant that if such fines would be disproportionate the magistrate could order a lesser penalty.

The Common Man is pleased to learn that despite the certainly with which the anti-UKIP brigade trumpets the notion that UKIP may have to pay more, the reality is that UKIP may well have to pay less.

The unanswered question about Abbott and Edmonds

The Common Man has returned fortified from several weeks spent inspecting skiing conditions in the Alps, and notes much has happened since his departure. Most pressing is the strange silence over the NEC votes to expel Mr Abbott and Mr Edmonds.

For many months, the Common Man has watched the BNP lite which is the anti-UKIP brigade praise, rightly so, the integrity of NEC member Del Young in the hope of causing a split between him and the best interests of UKIP. How strange it then is to find nobody can explain why Mr Young voted in favour of the expulsion of both Mr Abbott and Mr Edmonds.

There are only two possible answer. Either Mr Young voted against natural justice, or Misters Abbott and Edmonds were both guilty as charged, m'lud.

Regular readers will know the real answer as well as the Common Man. Mr Young is indeed a man of integrity, and he voted to get rid of those who would love to see UKIP cut a deal with the BNP. The only question is why Mr Lance-Watkins and his BNP chums have so little to say on the subject in public. In private, the Common Man has learned that they speak of Mr Young in terms that would make the National Front, Rhodesians and apartheid supporting South Africans proud.

Anti-UKIP brigade reduced to using the mentally ill

The Common Man notices that Mr Lance Watkins is using on his blog the words of Mr Norman Scarth.In his wisdom, he accuses Godfrey Bloom, MEP for Yorkshire & Humberside, of sneering 'he is obviously ill' as he dismissed Mr Scarths complaints.

This is closer to the truth than readers may realise. When Mr Scarth first came to UKIPs attention, he was a resident of a residential psychiatric hospital in the north, having been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. UKIP received a well written letter from him complaining of the injustice of his detention and acted in good faith helping have him released.

Little did UKIP know that Mr Scarth has a long history of psychiatric problems which have caused him to spend much of his adult life institutionalised. Mr Lance Watkins knows all this but posts his comments regardless of what he knows to be the real position regarding the state of Mr Scarths health.

Normally the Common Man finds the depths to which Mr Lance Watkins sinks laughable, but on this occasion is unable to raise a chortle as he uses the ravings of the mentally ill in his attacks upon UKIP.

Lance Watkins and the disappearing cash

The Common Mans attention has been drawn to a post by sacked former head office manager Mr Warry apparently denying the existence of funds solicited for the defence of BNP infiltrators. Not entirely surprising as the call came from Mr Lance Watkins who everyone now knows is a proven receiver of stolen goods. The Common Man is surprised to discover that Mr Warry and Mr Edmonds were involved in the apparent disappearance of these funds after many promises of transparency were made when the call first came. This transparency soon disappeared after it was realised donors could be responsible for all legal bills and Mr Lance Watkins instead said that nameless receipts would be issued. As he must have been well aware this would make it impossible to prove how much had been donated in total and the question must now be how much did Mr Lance Watkins make personally from this scheme?

Misters Warry and Edmonds can easily clear their names by stating publicly how much they each received and forwarded to Mr Lance Watkins. If they fail to publish this infomation the Common Man can only assume that they are complicit in this apparent theft. This total can be easily verified by seeing which model of new car Mr Lance Watkins gets from Santa. Is he after Mr Wises job or would his criminal convictions bar him from public office? The Common Man can only guess how much time Mr Lance Watkins spent picking up the soap at Her Majestys pleasure, something which might account for his homophobia.

BNP good, UKIP bad bleats poor Mr Edmonds

After the failure of their BNP backed plot to oust UKIP leader Mr Farage, the Common Man is unsurprised to see Mr Edmonds and Mr Abbott posting their almost completely false version of events across the internet.

Mr Edmonds is now quoting Orwell ironically, the Common Man guesses as it was Misters Edmonds, Haslam and Abbott who were attempting the Big Brother moves on UKIPs leadership. It was Mr Abbott who employed a private investigator to snoop into Mr Farages private life and hack his bank account details. He does appear to have some things correct as UKIP will screen NEC candidates to ensure BNP infiltrators such as himself and Mr Abbott are denied the opportunity to cause more trouble within UKIP. The Common Man is not impressed by empty threats about libel suits as Mr Abbott has not bothered with those who unearthed and published the information about him. He even gave up on his pursuit of Mr Denny when it was shown that he had lied to his own solicitors about the extent of his contacts with the BNP. The Common Man has a copy of their letter which may appear here shortly.

What Mr Edmonds forgot to mention about Henley was that he had put a lot of work into ensuring that the SW did not support the by election campaign as did his fellow BNP supporter Mr Abbott. How they must have celebrated the result twice over! The BNP finished ahead of UKIP and they thought it would bring closer the day the deal could be done between the BNP and UKIP which Mr Farage so vigourously opposes.

The Common Man is certain that they will continue their disinformation campaign in the hope of causing as many splits in UKIP as possible ahead of the european elections next year. A good chortle can be had by all when the truth here is compared with the lies on Misters Edmond and Lance-Watkins blogs.

Major Disappointment

The Common Man hears of a major disappointment about to befall Niall Warry the sacked former UKIP head office manager and close associate of Mr Lance Watkins. After years of attacking the party from within he will now find himself attacking the party from without after UKIP decided not to renew his membership. The Common Man also hears that a similar fate will befall youtube star Mr West whose membership will be withdrawn.

The Common Man applauds this new spirit of common sense within UKIP in getting rid of those who clearly do not have the best interests of the party at heart. Junius, Mr Lance-Watkins and other BNP infiltrators will complain that the party is ditching democracy by streamlining its disciplinary processes. The Common Man can only chortle again when considering how often those who complain now quote Edmund Burke - 'for evil to prosper requires only that the good do nothing'. Doing nothing was allowing them to mock UKIP and everything it stands for and then use the disciplinary process to prevent action being taken against them, a lesson learnt from Mr Hockney in the now distant past. Congratulations to UKIP for ceasing to do nothing.

Bath, trains and automobiles

The Common Man had yet another chortle at the number of steam train anoraks who didn't meet in Bath. Geoffrey Kingscott, John Petley, Peter Cole, the list goes on and on. Was convict and receiver of stolen goods Mr Lance Watkins there as well or not to add the Griffin seal of approval?

The Common Man was interested to read Mr Coles comments denying any meeting took place and wonders if he would lie about this what else he is also being less than honest about? In fact, the Common Man has no need to wonder, because more information about Mr Cole is at hand and will appear here in the near future.

Green Junius recycles old stories

The Common Man discovered while browsing the internet this morning that Junius seems to be recycling his old material. His latest posting on his blog is titled "Mark Croucher & Nigel Farage: the best of friends", and applauds Mr Farage for firing Mr Croucher.

Being struck by a sense of deja vu, the Common Man searched Democracy Forum, and found exactly the same 'information' posted on the 24th October under the title "Mark Croucher & his naughty mobile".

Is Junius keen to prove his green credentials by recycling old lies, or is it true that his sources of information have dried up now that his fellow BNP supporters have been removed from the NEC? Is Common Man alone in finding it strange if unsurprising that Junius has had nothing new to say since Misters Edmonds, Abbott and Haslam were removed from the NEC? It is certain that his accuracy has not improved because his story is as untrue now as it was then, apparently.

Bluster but NO Denial

The Common Man is tempted to take Mr Lance Watkins up on his offer to win £5000 by proving that the grubby little junk shop proprietor and bankrupt has a conviction for receiving stolen goods as the Xmas bills mount up.

What is interesting is that although Mr Lance Watkins has blustered and insulted in his usual childish way, he has never denied the accuracy of the Common Mans statement as has been pointed out by several correspondents.

Ethical considerations prevent the Common Man from disclosing his sources so £5000 of easy money has to be ignored. The question is where Mr Lance Watkins would find £5000 unless the residents of parts of South Wales can expect another mini crime wave.

Junius and Scotland

The Common Man learns that the brave but now strangely silent Junius, whose sources of information are rapidly drying up, is posting his nonsense from an IP address in Scotland.

The Common Man has spoken to several people who were in UKIP in 2004 when a similar round of scurrilous nonsense was spread across the internet also from an IP address in Scotland. On that occasion the guilty party was BNP IT Director Steven Blake. Lacking originality as they are, and with the BNP membership list posted across the internet by close associates of Mr Blake, are these events connected in some way?

The Common Man understands that Mr Blake and Mr Cotterill worked together to raise money for the BNP via BNP front organisation Civil Liberty. BNP Leader Nick Griffin was taped at an American Renaissance conference telling supporters to donate to Civil Liberty as a means of bypassing UK electoral law which forbids overseas donations. Which UKIP member is closely associated with these people? Mr Abbott donated money to Mr Cotterill, who ran the American Friends of the BNP. Mr Abbott attended American Renaissance conferences where he met Mr Griffin. Mr Cotterill invited Mr Abbott to a BNP fundraiser in the UK where he met Mr Griffin and Mr Blake. Now an anonymous poster is using the same tactics Mr Blake used in 2004 with information supplied by Mr Abbott and his chums, Mr Haslam and BNP emissary Mr Mottram. Mr Abbott has donated money to Civil Liberty.

Is the Common Man the only one to find such coincidences uncanny?

The Truth About Mr Haslam

The Common Man is getting bored of hearing how Mr Haslam was set up by UKIP, so the time has come for the full story to be aired.

A little birdy sings to us that Mr Haslam, who is a close friend of both BNP donor Mr Abbott and BNP emissary Mr Mottram, had been attempting to peddle stories to the media about financial impropriety in UKIP, particularly relating to Mr Farages personal finances. Mr Haslam was hoping to use the information garnered by Mr Abbott, who was paying a private investigator to hack Mr Farages accounts. Accusations were also made against Mr Collett who looks after UKIPs group finances in Brussels but so weak were the allegations and so unsupported by any facts that the journalist concerned declined to meet either Mr Mottram or Mr Haslam for lunch despite repeated invitations from both. They then suggested the journalist attend the meeting in Bournemouth which would begin the process of removing Mr Farage and so confident were they of this that they approached Lord Pearson to ask if he would assume the leadership of UKIP when Mr Farage was removed.

When Mr Haslams BNP plans failed to reach fruition he was left with only two choices. Either he could admit that he had contacted the media in an attempt to stab Mr Farage in the back or he could concoct a story which wouldnt expose his underhand dealings with the BNP brigade however unlikely that story might be. He chose the second course of action only because Mr Lance Watkins could be relied upon to shout it loudly despite knowing it was untrue, but what else would we expect from Mr Lance Watkins?

Only one question remains. The Common Man wonders which private individual would pay a significant sum of money to an individual to carry out an illegal act unless they were acting under instructions from others. Who is Mr Abbott working for? The BNP seems the most likely candidate.

Plugging the leaks

The Common Man is not surprised to find that Junius, Mr Lance-Watkins and others have little to say about the contents of the last NEC meeting at the beginning of December.

It is now clear that despite protests of their innocence, Misters Abbott and Edmonds were leaking confidential information to the BNP inspired anti-UKIP brigade because as soon as they were rightfully removed, the sources of information seem to have dried up. Readers of Mr Abbotts tirades in which he protested his innocence of having links to the BNP will remember his outrage when it was claimed he supplied Mr Lance-Watkins with his information. But if he lied about this, what else has this duplicitous little man also lied about? The Common Man has seen the photographs taken at the BNP's Trafalgar Club dinner featuring Mr Abbott and Mr Griffin as they shook hands and understands that this connection continues to this day.

Mr Abbott in his defence has claimed that he gave money to lots of good causes. The Common Man wonders whether these good causes include the private investigator he paid to hack into UKIP Leader Nigel Farages personal finances in the hope of finding something that would discredit him? There is a lesson in this somewhere, and the Common Man thinks the lesson is not to commission an illegal act and then tell a journalist about it because some people have better sources than others!

Welcome to the Common Mans 'sad & desperate' site, the highest indication of truth that Mr Lance-Watkins can bestow as it shows the nail has been hit well and truly on the head. And the Common Man continues to chortle at Mr Lance-Watkins dishonest attempt to link this site with UKIP officials. Perhaps his dishonest partner in smear Daniel Foggo will be able to help him track down the Common Mans identity?

After Mr Lance-Watkins self publication of his incomplete criminal record several weeks ago, he now accuses the Common Man of dishonesty when the blanks are filled in! Nobody will get far phoning a police station and asking for details of someone elses criminal record as he well knows, so his protestations of innocence and suggestion that people call Chepstow police station are as empty as the lies he peddles about anyone who dares to cross him. As 'any fule no', many grubby little second hand shops go to the wall because they don't bother to check whether what they sell belongs to someone else, and Mr Lance-Watkins tawdry little clearing house for stolen goods was no different in this respect. As a past victim of burglary, the Common Man can only sympathise with those who supplied his stock. Anyone who has bought goods from him in the past can have them returned to their rightful owners by contacting their local police station.

Perhaps this is why Mr Coleman will have nothing to do with him? It wouldnt do for a former senior policeman to consort with known criminals.

Abbott updates

The Common Man thought it was time to return to the subject of David Abbott, the BNP donor recently expelled from UKIP for his role in disrupting an NEC meeting with an offer of an electoral pact with the BNP.

Mr Abbott insists that "I have never attended a meeting of the BNP" and "I spoke against the deal"

Mr Abbott, by his own admission, attended a Trafalgar Club fundraising dinner on at least one occasion, and met BNP leader Nick Griffin there. As the Trafalgar Club is the fundraising arm of the BNP, Mr Abbott has in fact attended a BNP meeting and even admitted to it in his attempt to silence criticism. The letter from Carter Ruck (marked not for publication to demonstrate their belief in free speech) to NEC member Douglas Denny said:

"In about 2000, our client went to a dinner of the Trafalgar Club."

Mr Abbott also claims to have spoken against the BNP deal offered to the NEC. Perhaps Mr Lance-Watkins could providethe transcript from his tape recordings of the bit where Misters Abbott and Edmonds were demanding 'lets hear the deal, lets hear the deal' as the rest of the NEC attempted to eject Mr Mottram.

Mr Abbott claims the he will not sue Mr Croucher for libel because he has no money. When his solicitors sent this letter to Mr Denny, Mr Croucher was UKIP communications director on a significant salary, so what was the excuse then? Perhaps he was concerned that there was more information to come to light?

Laughable, just laughable

The Common Man (or is it the Common Woman?) has enjoyed his holiday reading the almost defunct Democracy Forum as 35 infiltrators and leakers scrabble around trying to work out our identity. The Common Man's prize for the funniest attempt goes to the person who suggested that because MC reversed is CM, and because of the borrowed 'Liar-Watkins' name it is therefore irrefutable that Mark Croucher (who coined the latter) and the Common Man are one and the same. Or is it the Common Woman? Annabelle Fuller's name has also been mentioned in connection with this blog, despite its being written in the male third person. They can look after themselves but the BNP inspired anti-UKIP brigade shouldn't give up their day jobs.

Now there is a delicious irony in watching those who have leaked inside UKIP for many years worrying that their one-sided, heavily spun confections of lies are beginning to fall apart under the real truth.

Junius claimed to know the real reason for Greg Beamans resignation, but forgot to mention the incident with the laptop. Junius claimed to know in advance that Haslam, Edmonds and Abbott would be expelled from the NEC, but forgot to mention it would be in connection with a BNP infiltration plot. Junius claimed to know of a plot against Mr Coleman, but forget to mention that the plot was caused by Mr Colemans own politically naive words to a senior member of the Brussels press corps, and that Mr Towlers efforts were to spare Mr Coleman even more embarrassment. Junius claimed that Mr Warry would face disciplinary charges, when in fact UKIP have apparently declined to renew his membership, something they should have done when he was fired as head office manager for his bumbling incompetence.

Convicted criminal and professional receiver of stolen goods Mr Lance-Watkins claims that the absence of Misters Edmonds and Abbotts names from a BNP membership list were proof that they were not working for the BNP. How the Common Man chortled at such blatant disinformation! As if the three of them would be invited along to their local BNP branch meetings, their secret activism safe in the hands of a shaven headed, semi-literate BNP branch committee. It may not be Christmas yet, but surely worthy of a good 'ho, ho, ho'?

Speaking of Mr Lance-Watkins, is the Common Man the only one to notice his new found attitude towards the BNP after his earlier support for anti-semitism which can be found all over the internet and USENET groups? There is a definite sense of track-covering here as some of the posts quoted have now disappeared from some e-groups, with others being closed down and their archives deleted to remove his more extreme posts. Now the Common Man hears that he is soliciting money for the defence of his fellow BNP activists removed from their positions within UKIP. Caution should be exercised when handing over cash to a person with his criminal convictions for dishonesty, and perhaps to overcome this he has been recruiting others to handle the cash before passing it on to him. Embittered ex-chairman of UKIP Mrs Voelcker has declined to do so, perhaps because she so nearly had her fingers burned after leaking details of Mr Wises finances before remembering that she had tried to get some of the disputed money for herself. Mr Lance-Watkins friend Mr Foggo can confirm this.

The Democracy Forum itself is in danger of being closed down which has caused much claiming of free speech rights. How correct they are. On the internet there should be the perfect right to publish any unsubstantiated rumour, any vindictive gossip and any lie or half truth without the threat of legal sanction. How hypocritical they appear from the viewpoint of one who never posts there as they peddle their lies, as only days earlier they were claiming they would close down this blog for telling the truth.

The Democracy Forum has chosen to ignore the evidence of Mr Lance-Watkins successful attempt to rig the voting which allowed him back on, and perhaps by doing so has hastened its own demise. Why would this be? Democracy Forum owner Anthony Butcher perhaps had a skin too thin to be the butt of numerous Lance-Watkins emails just as his skin was too thin to stay on UKIPs NEC and work for the good of the party. Mr Croucher mentioned rumours that Mr Butcher was a Lib Dem plant but dismissed them, but the Common Man knows differently. That is a story for another day as the Common Man refocuses on British politics.

Surprising Popularity and honesty Lance-Watkins style

The Common Man was amazed to hear of a poll currently running on the Democracy Forum asking members whether proven BNP activist and anti-semite Mr Lance-Watkins (known there as Mr Liar-Watkins) should be allowed posting privileges after being banned for being less than truthful. Even more astonishing was that 21 people were in favour of his highly inaccurate, deliberately distorted ranting.

The reason soon became clear. The Common Man had to smile when an e-mail was received asking for our vote, and giving details of how to register as a forum user. At the same time, a new blog has appeared, which features on Mr Lance-Watkins new blog as a recommended link. Political Gossip UK which is only about UKIP and Mr Lance-Watkins has just two stories posted in the early hours of this morning. The first repeats Mr Lance-Watkins lies about UKIP in a Lance-Watkins style, while the second recommends that people vote for the restoration of Mr Lance-Watkins posting privileges on the Democracy Forum. There is no contact information for the blog, and Mr Lance-Watkins would never post anonymously, would he?

The Common Man notes that the Democracy Forum seems worried about posting times and typographical errors, particularly a member once labelled Old Mother Collier. Mrs Colliers conspiracy theory is that the error of typing 'yesterday' about last Mondays NEC meeting proves that the Common Man knew in advance that Dr Abbott, as Buster Mottram was being ordered from the room, would still be demanding to "hear the full deal" put on the table by an organisation he helped to fund, or that he would shout "Goodbye, UKIP" as he walked out. Or is Mrs Collier suggesting that the doctor is in on the plot too?

The Common Man had not long been awake when news reached him of the BNPs offer, and at 8am its easy to get confused about an event which happened at a time still 8 hours in the future in this time zone. Or did it? Tomorrow, the Common Man will be posting Friday's racing results.

Abbott, Edmonds, Lance-Watkins, Hockney, de Rook and Edwards

Stories reach the Common Man of negotiations at a high level between the BNP and UKIP. Of scurrilous e-mails from anonymous sources being sent to the membership. Of shenanigans in the MEP selection process. Of attempts to rig NEC elections to favour certain candidates. Of tapes of NEC meetings.

UKIP 2009? No, UKIP 2004, when almost the same scenario was played out. On the BNP team, the players were the same: BNP leader Nick Griffin and his motley band of convicted criminals and failed businessmen. On the UKIP team at that time were BNP mole Andrew Edwards, standing in for Greg Lance-Watkins, and the Abbott/Edmonds double act of their day, Damien Hockney and John De Rook. UKIP substitutes included one-time Yorkshire chairman Michael Cassidy-Scutts, Tory agitator Martin Cole and the BNP treasurer, John Brayshaw, parachuted into a defunct UKIP branch in Yorkshire as chairman to lend credence to the plays. The BNP's gameplan? Exactly the same as this time around: an e-mail campaign calling for truth, honesty and integrity, which accuses the entire leadership of more debauchery than Nero's court, culminating in an attempt to fiddle a list of BNP sympathisers, self-promoters and 'don't care who helps as long as we win' want-to-be's to the top of MEP lists and onto the NEC.

Luckily in 2004, the plan was forestalled at the last minute. The Common Man hears that Hockney managed to suppress the details by issuing a writ for libel, despite using in his writ extracts from a tape of the NEC meeting where the plot was exposed. The same tape would have defeated his own libel action, because it was clear that the presenters of the NEC report into the affair (then chairman David Lott and then communications director Mark Croucher) did not accuse him of direct links to the BNP, only of being so desperate to gain control of the party that he didn't care who was helping him. Edwards was thrown out of UKIP, as was Brayshaw, Cassidy-Scutts left, and Cole disappeared without trace once his usefulness to the Tories in heading off a UKIP advance ceased. Interestingly, Cole had worked with Alan Duncan MP at the time his oil brokerage was breaking UN sanctions by selling oil to Yugoslavia. The involvement of senior UKIP members was hushed up by the terms of the politically expedient settlement of the libel action.

The present day play bears an uncanny similarity to the 5 year old one. This time, Mr Lance-Watkins' is the Mr Edwards, with his wide ranging leaks of NEC material supplied by Misters- Abbott and -Edmonds. In a refinement of the BNP gameplan, which made up in enthusiasm what it lacked in originality, long term infiltrators such as John West and Martin Harvey were used to lend credence to the idea that there was a problem with the MEP selection process. On this foundation, Lance-Watkins used his extensive e-mail database, built up over many years interference in UKIP's internal affairs, to sow the same rumours that were used 5 years ago without success, all leading to the appearance of Buster Mottram at UKIP's NEC meeting yesterday. Mottram was brought along by Martin Haslam, UKIP deputy treasurer, to defend himself against charges of leaking information to the press, and admittance for Mottram was gained by Misters- Abbott and -Edmonds using this pretext. The trio then sat back and waited for the show to begin, having all been party, with Mr Lance-Watkins, to the negotiations. Following earlier experience, both Abbott and Edmonds taped the meeting, and immediately provided the tapes to Lance-Watkins.

The BNP's offer was straightforward: ditch UKIP Leader Farage, and enter an electoral pact, splitting the country between the two parties. In 2004, it was the same except that the condition was to ditch then UKIP Leader Roger Knapman. Then, the new leader would have been Damien Hockney with Mr De Rook as deputy, while the current plan would have seen Mr Edmonds heading up the remains of the party, with Mr Abbott as deputy.

It all began to fall apart when Mr Lance-Watkins proved unable once again to keep quiet over the details and insisted on issuing an ultimatum at the end of the previous week. In 2004, the end was very similar when Mr Edwards was caught out in a similar way over John Brayshaw, allowing UKIP to expel them both before the trap could be sprung. It is there that the similarites end, unfortunately. This time, the BNP did have negotiations with senior UKIP figures in the persons of Misters- Abbott and -Edmonds, and all those involved were aware of the others and exactly what their game plan was. The ad-hoc nature of 2004 was replaced by a much more determined approach with a concerted plan which, even though based on the earlier version, shows that even the BNP can learn from their past mistakes. The branch chairmen and ordinary members who fell for it this time were as always in BNP plans expendable cannon fodder and useful fools. The real changes were at the top. In 2004, Mssrs Hockney and De Rook were simply used because they displayed enough naked ambition to not care where their help was coming from. This time, the senior UKIP people were already closely linked to the BNP, and were made aware of the other BNP pieces in play to avoid repetition of earlier mistakes.

Although the BNP appear the losers they have not really lost that much. Abbott and Edmonds were about to be expelled as details of the negotiations surfaced over the previous week or so, while Lance-Watkins BNP links have become increasingly obvious in recent months to the point where even his supporters are distancing themselves from him. The trick for the BNP now as in 2004 is to try and turn the cleaning up process around, and make the subsequent expulsions from UKIP of those who were involved in the negotiations seem unfair and a part of a wider witch-hunt. If the game continues to play as it did in 2004, UKIP members will see through such troublemaking.

Gregg Beaman's mysterious departure

Now the dust has died down about Gregg Beaman's mysterious departure as both NW Regional Organiser and lead candidate, the truth is beginning to out. Strange to say it isn't found on Mr Beaman's own blog which gives his noble reasons for standing aside, and which has now stopped taking postings from anonymous users because their comments were getting a little close to the truth of the matter. Even libertarianism has its bounds at the edge of untrammeled free speech.

Sources close to the anti-UKIP movement within UKIP tell the Common Man that the real reason concerns an NEC member, a laptop and Democracy Forum. Users of Democracy Forum should take a look at postings by user name 'Rosie', who wrote "I saw how hard Greg Beaman worked when he formed the branch I was in, and two or three nearby ones", "Greg Beaman was certainly the popular choice when I left the North West over a year ago now, and I hear he still is as he has a long and solid track record".

The same forum spends some time discussing Mr Beaman's departure and how it was a conspiracy by the leadership to get rid of him because Paul Nuttall was the preferred choice for the number one slot in the North West.

It will be interesting to see how they react to the news that Rosie and Gregg Beaman are one and the same, gender confusion notwithstanding. This less than earth-shattering piece of news came to light when Mr Beaman returned a borrowed laptop, forgetting to remove the incriminating evidence first, and wasting all his hard work, time and effort in climbing the greasy pole as a regional organiser to get to the top of the list while at the same time attacking the leadership anonymously via a public forum and a series of contacts with people who are decidedly not UKIP's greatest fans. The subject of his attacks included then UKIP Chairman John Whittaker MEP, who was a staunch supporter of Mr Beaman's attempt to gain the number one slot on the list, and UKIP Leader Nigel Farage MEP, who was responsible for his paycheques.

The face saving formula of allowing Mr Beaman to resign quietly clearly isn't working, as the Common Man hears that his involvement with the anti-UKIP cause continues just as his vaguely worded blog entry leaves visitors with the impression that UKIP had done something wrong. How his opposition to UKIP taking seats in the European Parliament squares with the effort he put into gaining first place on the list is matter for others to discuss but there was no point of principle involved in using an MEP's allowance to send out a regional newsletter which was little more than a campaign mailshot or in using an alter-ego to sing his own praises.

Trevor Colman and foot in mouth disease

Much talk on Democracy Forum about TC and an alleged smear campaign against him claiming he made racist comments. Maybe, maybe not. It wouldn't be the first time in his short career as an MEP.

News reaches us that at his welcoming meeting in Strasbourg he was enjoying a chat with a fellow attendee, telling them how much he hated Farage, and how in his days as a copper they knew how to deal with troublesome journalists who took too much of an interest in such boring issues as police corruption - lock them in a cell with a couple of burly PCs, and then beat the crap out of them. Medecine to be repeated daily until cured. Other such indiscretions tumbled from his lips, leaving a bemused European Editor of a national daily, for such was his audience, wishing it had not been a private meeting because it would have made a lovely front page.

Not the first time such comments have been made by TC, however. Another source tells the Common Man that he thought this would have been an ideal way of dealing with Tom Wise, who he cleared, then smeared, then cleared again shortly before Wise's arrest.

With friends like this to show UKIP's best face to the media, who needs enemies?

I see the latest Greg Lance-Watkins rant has arrived in inboxes, including a significant section devoted to the BNP. After republishing large parts of their website, he thoughtfully finishes with a couple of lines about how bad they are, paying special attention to how shocking it is that some of them deny the holocaust.

Strange that he should be so particular, as it was only two weeks ago that he was fending off accusations that he himself supported holocaust deniers after old e-mails from him surfaced praising organisations such as Al-Quaeda, Hamas and the PLO, all of whom deny the holocaust.

But as if that isn’t bad enough, rumours also began to circulate about just how close his links to the BNP were or are. Discussion on the Democracy Forum (formerly UKIP Forum) centred on how he apparently attempted to mislead a group of UKIP activists into attending a political weekend at a local pub to which he had secretly invited BNP leader Nick Griffin. His defence, amazingly, was that Nick Griffin had phoned him and asked to attend – as if having the leader of Britain’s blackshirts phoning up and inviting themselves around was somehow better than having invited him.

The actual cause of these revelations was a ding-dong between him and former UKIP PR man Mark Croucher, who took umbrage at one rant too many from the erstwhile Watkins. More apparently is due to come, as I understand details of Watkins criminal record have recently come to light.
